DIY: Tools for Creating Your Own Stationary

After using stamps to create my own stationary, I decided to look at other products to make notecards for special occasions. The stamps are cute not inconsistent & I really wanted to play around with different designs.

While I love spending my time (& money) in a craft store I actually found most of my supplies at good ol’ Target! They have some really cute options in the notecard aisle that would be perfect with some added embellishments.

1. Michaels Martha Stewart glitter| 2. Target gift tags (not online)| 3. Target blank notecards (not online)| 4. Michaels Martha Stewart glue pen (not online)| 5. Staples glitter pens (not online)

I love being able to write personal messages but make them look special with a touch of glitter or wrapping a gift in basic paper with the gift tag giving the pop of color & whimsy. The simple notecards will allow me to get really creative with decorating- this could become dangerous!

In other news, my latest book review is up at Minted Magazine‘s blog! Make sure to check it out!

Those Target cards and tags are adorable. I’ll have to check them out next time I’m there!

  2. I love stationery! And I love the idea of making my own. Great tips. Target has a surprising number of awesome things, apparently; College Prep also found a bunch of notebooks there recently. Looks like I’ll be taking a trip this weekend!

Love all those supplies – it’s so much better to make your own stationary sometimes! Since you’re in the DC area too, there’s actually a crafting event tomorrow at the Smithsonian that sounds like it has to do with making stationary (it’s not totally clear but that’s my best guess from the description!)

  4. This is SO creative! Love it. Following you on Bloglovin, WordPress, Facebook and Pinterest!
