DIY: 4th of July Nails

I was one of the thousands hanging out on Saturday without power & air conditioning, getting cranky & listening to the dog whine because we were hot. Car trips didn’t end so well (the dog gets motion sick. Excellent.) & I couldn’t focus on reading my book.

So naturally I decided it was a good time to paint my nails for the 4th.

This was my first experience with a nail art pen, so I just attempted drawing with my right hand (I was already cranky from the heat, no need to get more frustrated!). Easy enough & a simple little addition to a regular summer manicure.

For those of you a little more adventurous here are some other fun ideas for festive nails:

  1. cuh-ute!! I picked up blue yesterday! I haven’t painted my nails so many different color, so i’m really excited about this. College summers I would be traveling so never had nailpolish on hand really, and then last 2 years I would be working and we’re not allowed to have crazy color nails. So this year I’m going all out!
