Neon Style Challenge

I wanted to participate in the Capital Area Fashion & Beauty Bloggers’ June style challenge which was all about neon. And yet I have not really worn neon since I was…. 8. My New Kids on the Block sweatshirt. It was pretty rad.

I did attempt a little bit of neon with this shirt:

but its a small stripe with my usual preppy navy & white, so I would not consider it going full force with neon.

So I thought I’d figure out ways for us less adventurous trendsetters to dip our toes in the neon trend without feeling like we’re reverting back to 1988.

1. opi nicky minaj nail polish | 2. nelly.com neon scarf | 3. juicy couture charm bracelet | 4. anthropologie bucket hat| 5. oasis skinny belt | 6. delias neon twist shirt | 7. baublebar knot earrings | 8. zara box bag

I think I could step into the neon trend with a small accessory like a belt or bracelet, or wear it with neutral stripes.

Make sure to check out all the CapFABBers who are more skilled at dressing in neon than I am!

  1. Your top mixes in just the right amount of neon. I like it! And those knot studs are great.

  2. You look adorable, Kelly!!!!

    Hope it was fun.

I like a pop of neon pink but I am not crazy about the other neons. I like that your top isn’t super bright.
