Not Your Basic Summer Outfit

Nothing beats a t-shirt & shorts on a hot summer day. And with me not having to dress up to go to work, its pretty much my regular summer uniform.

{Okay, that’s on a good day. If I’m being honest I usually rock yoga pants.}

But a t-shirt & shorts are not the most stylish look, so I thought I’d put together some options for accessorizing even the most basic of outfits. Using a white tee & jean shorts, here’s some ways to jazz up even the plainest of outfits.

white t-shirt| jean shorts

baublebar coral earrings| bellissima yellow cuffsonia rykiel lips brooch| baublebar tropic necklace | j crew bubble necklace | privileged blue agate pendant

forever 21 fedora| jack wills sunglasses| j crew floral scarf| asos bow belt| lemlem striped scarf| zara flower brooch

j crew colorblock flats | seychelles multi-colored sandalscocobelle tie-dye thong| nine west espadrilles| toms red slip-ons

What I love about a simple outfit like this is that anything you add on is really going to stand out & take center stage. A piece of jewelry or a shoe can get lost in a lot of outfits but with this look they’re going to be the first thing that grabs people’s attention!

What’s your favorite add-on to make an outfit special?
