Art to Inspiration: Float

This month’s piece of art is “Float” but Jill Ricci. It was suggested by Lesly, who described her work as having “… elements of street art, interior and textile design, pop culture and graphics, as well as just good old fashioned painting”.

As much as I loved the graffiti look of the piece, the shapes & colors are what jumped out at me.  I immediately thought of scallops in fun bright summer colors.

I love how the scallops add a small detail to a basic piece without it looking too fussy. Perfect for the hot months ahead!

{As would be those Oscar de la Renta shoes. Somehow I don’t think they’re going to end up in my closet though….}

    I agree with Emily and Whitney – this is perfect. I need more scalloped pieces in my wardrobe!
