Being the silly girl I am, I volunteered to help plan prom this year. Not the wisest choice I’ve made!

And while I’ll be chaperoning & running around like crazy tomorrow night for my 2012 seniors, I thought it would be entertaining to flash back to my prom, circa 2001.

There were many mishaps that night starting with missing group photos & ending with tears & drama from our half of Class of 2001’s “cutest couple”. They of course had since broken up after the votes were tallied & gone to prom with different dates.

My date was a friend I worked with, so I had my expectations fully in line for that night. So I have to laugh with all the excitement going on around here because I wonder how many people will look back on tomorrow night with fond memories? Instead of well, that was a giant waste of money & time.

{I did get a pretty sweet snow globe with our theme “In My Life” sketched on it}

And I know you’re wondering where I got that fashionable dress. I believe it was a JC Penney special that was hidden toward the back of a rack, found after hours & hours of searching for something to fit a short girl. It was pale blue with glittery swirls – oh so stylin!

I got my makeup done at Clinique, which was a pretty big deal. Actually that started my Clinique obsession, so I guess I did get something out of prom! My hair was a bit much & I remember it not being quite what I wanted. This was a my red hair phase, though it looks much darker due to the non-digital camera that’s in use.

Also take note of the viking in the lower left corner. I think it adds a lot of this photo.

So now its your turn- what was your prom experience?

    hahaha. I love that you blacked out your prom date. I had a lot of fun at (multiple) proms during high school but the biggest mishap was sophomore year when someone from another school asked me to his senior prom. I didn’t know any of his friends and we were definitely just friends too. They had an after prom party til 5am at the school and when I went to change out of my dress at some random girl’s house (friend of my date) I realized i hadn’t brought a bra- it had been sewn into the dress. So I had to ask random stranger girl if I could borrow a bra! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! And then I gave it back to her in the parking lot at 5am. LOL. Mortifying all around!
