Chelsea Market

Not sure I’ve recovered from our 24 hours in New York City.

We shopped, are a lot of excellent food (more on that later), and hung out with Cuba Gooding Jr at our hotel bar (true story).

However the surprise of the weekend for us (well, besides Cuba) was how we had never been to Chelsea Market. I’m sure if you’re a native this is old news but for us it was an exciting discovery.

The four of us had been to NYC plenty of times to skip some of the more touristy stuff but had never really explored the Chelsea area.

After checking out some art galleries, we headed over to the market.

We didn’t buy nearly enough but got to do some wine tasting, check out the vendors, and buy some Sarabeth’s jam.

The little shops include delicious looking cupcakes, meats, cheeses, sandwiches….. pretty much any type of high end food you can think of.

For us visitors it was lovely enough to just be able to walk around and imagine how much money we’d spend weekly if we lived near here!

Somehow my packed lunch at work today is not going to measure up!

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!
